thoughts
i used to have qualms about how two persons from different backgrounds get together, know each other better and have infinite to talk about. like i always tell my friends, i seem to have lost touch of my inter-personal skills after the era of school. it seems so impossible, to go up to someone, say hi! and keep a short chat going before ending it smartly. well maybe, school was like an arena, the battlefield is what i call that. it provides u vast opportunies to know people, and there is 101 reasons for you to bump someone up. and i never really had that chance for a long long time, except for that odd few.

first dates have also been a hassle. i cannot help but be frantic and too excited, often forced into a state of frenzy. i worry that there will be too much quiet. i worry that i do not say the right things. what if i accidentally hurl vulgarities, fcuk. what if i start laughing hysterically when im not supposed to. and what if im not looking my best. pimples, my best friends!

ok maybe things are not that intricate. im too sensitive. it is strange, when i really really want a relationship to work out, i will be over-enthusiastic about it. i forget to play hard to get (to a certain acceptable extent), and i concede. the last one crashed like shooting stars hit the ground. trust me, things are always taken for granted if they come easy. humans alike, women alike, (men alike). so i tell myself, despite the desire and temptation, i must abstain from msging this one. ONLY because i want this one to work out even more.

i want to tell someone about the whole monday. haha. someone, anyone, pop me up anytime. SHREK tomorrow, shall turn in right now.

POTC3
i re-edited this one. POTC3 is really bad, it was draggy, crappy and nothing close to what i expected. the start was pretty cool, and it almost diffused all the negative criticism that my friends has bombarded me about them. the jokes was cheesy and there were also many redundant scenes. the plot was scattered and unclear, but still there were parts of the show worth to catch i guess.

P.S. maybe you will want to take note that there is a 'secret ending' after all the credits, that is what she call it, so yeah.

actually it was pretty hard on me, 'cos i had to collect my car from lavender and drive to bugis, to find that she was at raffles city! ERPs, thanks fortunately to the handy street directory i had with me, i managed to find her, but it was more MALU-ism on the way when we took damn long to get to PS, ahh, but well we teased each other to our destination. then after the show, we went for punggol nasi lemak, which didn't really taste as good as i expected. oh and we bought the shrek popcorn combo cos we saw they gave away shrek visors. eh, i didnt know what we wanted them for aniway.

thanks brothers!
brothers eugene and bang. it was the kinda impromptu question at 2pm by bang, "lets go shop?", and then we called eugene up who happened to be heading to taka. the next moment we were at orchard, shopping, jostling amost crowds and catching up with one another. i really should thank them for being really good shopping company. both of them went back emptyhanded, but i bought 2 new shirts from domanchi and cufflings. ill see if i can take photos of me in those fantastic clothes. mouthwatering. i mean the clothes. NO, i mean me. haha ok, we complement each other.

HAHA, i feel so prepared now, so well-rehearsed for the big one. and i think i am. whatever it is, i'll be myself, and hope that everything goes well. i like this feeling, i dont know why, but i havent felt like this for a long long time. bless me! (:

I need...

a good 2hr long run,

breakfast alone early in changi village,

a round of drinks over a weekend,

and watch soccer and scream,

try playing guitar on my bed,

and drive alone down the fast lane on ECP,

to have a brainwash,

and sort my thoughts out,

get in touch with friends,

to scream and get scolded,

and to laugh it off,

to unstretch my stretched soul,

to sweat and get exhausted,

sleep a full 12 hours,

and wake up refreshed,

to get wet in the rain,

fall terribly sick,

and appreciate my life again.

**now i really sound like im overworked. i am.

some tips
for the frequent drivers like me and you. got them over the net, so you don't have to thank me (:

5 HOT TIPS ON HOW BETTER TO SAVE FUEL (:

1) keep your tyres fully inflated.
The U.S. Department of Energy reports that the average driver can improve mileage by 3.3 percent simply by inflating their vehicle's tires regularly. and this is the most common reason for wastage. so note it down on your jotterbooks already.

2) get a tune-up.
Just follow your maintenance schedule and make sure your car is in top working condition always. According to the Department of Energy, replacing a clogged air filter can improve your gas mileage by 10 percent, while fixing a faulty oxygen sensor can improve gas mileage by an unbelievable 40 percent. whatever that meant.

3) use regular unleaded if possible.
The truth is that you may not even notice the difference when you drive your car with regular gas instead of premium, and the cost difference can be quite a hefty sum. very true, as my mum just changed to 95 instead of 98, and trust me, the driving experience didnt worsen a little.

4) adjust driving habits.
Speeding, excessive accelerating, and sudden braking all waste gas. A more relaxed driving style not only improves safety, it also improves gas mileage by 33 percent for highway driving. Idling your engine for long periods can also waste up to a gallon of gas per hour. Operating your car's air conditioner on its maximum setting can reduce your miles per gallon by 5 to 25 percent compared to not using it at all. this one is for me to take note. HAH.

5) clean out your trunk.
Unnecessary cargo weighs your car down. A hundred extra pounds can reduce your miles per gallon by 2 percent. uh-huh, maybe i should stop ferrying fat people then? *no offence meant*

OH, and happy birthday DAD! birthdays are getting more and more mundane. no more photos, or family gathering to dine out together. its sad. lets see, time for another round of sleep?

did i say my mouse died on me? without a sign. it just stopped moving. and its my razer copperhead 2000dpi gaming mouse! argh! before i start searching for a substitute (that being #1 on my GSS shopping list), lets salute it for all the contributions it had made and the battles i won with it. the hotkey for dagon was helpful, and the dagger, and euls.

local ADs

Ah, its been a long time since i last saw good ads. good, in my persective, means catchy and funny, yet illustrative of the product to serve its commercial purposes. still, everyone has their own sets of criterion, and im entitled to mine (: its cheesy and mysterious 'cos you probably still dont know what they are. being the kind hearted myself, its a random carbonated or non-carbonated drink la. ice lemon tea, coke, green tea, whatever, anything, see heng-suay.

creativity and innovation i embrace, yet that's what Singapore lacks. we are taught what we need to know in school, which makes us more knowledgeable but not clever. the dictionary says of clever as showing a use of the imagination and creativity especially in inventing, so you might want to think again the next time your teacher says you are. then, in comes project work, where jc students are all coerced into and i really doubt it works. one period a week, for a whole year, most of the time researching, not thinking. seriously, i think the 'science club activities' in primary school were more inspirational. the one you slogged to complete some tasks on a blue card and get a certificate and a badge that says i am a young "physicist" for example.

AHH, some photoes of the food we took at ichiban after the bintan trip. YUMYUM, i can still drool at the photos, i swear! although i regret ordering the 'worms' 'cos i thought i missed the one at waraku.

tired but unbeaten!

mindless blogging.
i have 10 minutes before i sleep, so well, its do something useful.

ahh, lets see, the first one came out when i was in sec 1? thats like 8years, WOOT, so it better be good 'cause i cannot wait to lay my hands on them. BAD bad bad, even without it, i can spend two hours per day just playing dota already, ok, spare me some time off the computer (:

and i catched NEXT last friday. not a bad flick, because everything was unexpected, and it even left us guessing the ending. jessica biel's still hot, but nicholas cage seems to have aged too fast. in short, the movie is about this guy Cris with supernatural ability to see minutes into his future, and the FBI wants him to help unveil a stolen nuclear bomb. Unlike most of the critics, i do recommend people to watch this flick. You may argue about the crap ending, but it's quite obvious what's going to happen.

i used to love to know my future, but not anymore. well, life's meant to be a surprise!

SHUCKS. thats more than 10minutes. BYE. so tired after that night run!

(:
im in this hyper mood all day now, and i cant explain!

charissa and i was having this argument about the pronounciation of 'FACADE' for two days. i keep thinking it was fa-card, but she insists it was fa-sud. we practically asked the whole department, and most of them also said 'fa-card'. being the kangtang aka potato she was, how could she be wrong? even though she got confused by me for a while, hahaha, she was right la, how can the dictionary be wrong?

FACADE-
Function: noun
Etymology: French façade, from Italian facciata, from faccia face, from Vulgar Latin *facia
1 : the front of a building ; also : any face of a building given special architectural treatment
2 : a false, superficial, or artificial appearance or effect

Oh, the female lead was gorgeous, and her voice so soothing. That slow song she sang never fails to put me into tears. It was a simple story, and i saw everything coming, but i still cannot help feeling for the girl. it was not a bad show to catch. im so so sick, still suffering from post-bintan syndrome. coughs, flus, and sore throats.

BINTAN GETAWAY
work and more work had got me hopelessly drained-out, and i was really looking forward to some sort of nirvana in bintan, to recharge my energy level and to re-justify myself that life's beautiful (for a while). Thank god, expectations were exceeded. full gear on for kayaking! get set, go!
plus eeling!
beach boys
plus bikini babes!
whats a beach holidays without beach boys and bikini babes! as soon as we stepped into our huts, we changed into our beachwear and headed to the beach for some kayak(-capsiz)ing. although kairong and me suffered the least sabotages, the other 2 couples spent much of their time recovering from their capsize and planning for the next one. the worst of it all was when we capsize marcus' and left them with no paddles, but of course, being the kind-hearted soul i always am, we made our way back and returned their paddles.

stoning, waiting for our foodthe hearty lunch we had!- cocktails and wedges

we should have expected more lunches of such, 'cause the same thing happened to be in the lunch menu the next day. then we had more sun, more sand and more fun. the upcoming activities were archetypal; frisbee, soccer and water captain ball (to diminish any height disparities). all said, of cause i was on the side nearer the beach and kairong was on the other. HMM, in the end, it didnt seem to help aniways, HAH. that took us all the way to sunset, and more importantly, DINNER.sunset!plus candlelight dinner!plus live perfomances!and we did this photo for KALYN, right?

HAH, that was our first proper meal, since Mc's back in Singapore. The ambience was great, plus the soothing music at the background, and all the food piping hot. HEAVEN. the only bad was that it was also heaven for mosquitoes. and we had MR CUTE GUY help us take the last photo. Hmm...

red!our conquests!retards!

the first night was reserved for drinking. played all sorts of drinking games, and i think i probably drank the most. i would consider myself sober, even though people might beg to differ. HAHA, and we ended taking retarded photos, which didnt look too bad i guess. there was people vommiting, while some others was SALIVATING over the food on TV, and i was one of two laughing at their silly acts. to do that, i conclude, I AM NOT DRUNK.

me plus the only 'unqualified' driverthe whole clique with our buggiesat checkpoint #1

undoubtedly the best part of thetrip, we had so much fun and adrenaline rush when we sped through thick layers of mud, across bumpy terrains and down slopes. by the end of the ride, we were all soaked in mud, dirty, tired, yet wanting for more. though i must be quite relieved i didn't have a chance to sit in marcus' accident-prone buggy.

@ the pool bar

forfeits soaking up the sun plus under the moonlight!

then more sun, more sand. i only remember kairong being thrown into the sea twice as forfeit, and i got beaten by some fish 6 times on my leg, and more alcohol for lunch. by then, we were all clean again, and ready for dinner at the kelong. it didn't come cheap, and i thought gong-gongs were gross. never tried. and i had my sunshine photo taken. i can still remember the LA-LUNA music playing in my mind, so PHUTURE-ish, maybe better, but when we went to take a peep, there was no dance, no one on the floor, just music.

life sized snakes & ladders!all focused in our game!and the stupid menu!plus the bank robber!

we didn't finish the game of snakes & ladders. in fact, 5 outta 6 of us didnt make it out of the first 8 squares for at least 1/2 hr, 'cos we were busy kicking each other back to the start. then we had a retro ktv session, the songs menu was pathetic, and look at the food menu, omg. after a good night's sleep, we went go-karting and soon enough, we bid our huts goodbye.

bye bintan!

friday too soon
im not complaining. its friday! i went over to my gor's place for some gaming. he finally collected his well-deserved bonus, and guess what, even i got an ipod for that. i didnt really want to accept it, and i am really grateful. AHH, thats one off the wishlist! (these days are more worth living; i cannot ask for more). eugene and alan jioed me for kbox, which i was raring to go for the last few weeks, but i had to reject it cos im having this bad throat for 2 days already. there's so much stuff happening lately, i wanna be able to tell everyone about it. aww, but i guess im just going to load some songs into my new ipod and get some beauty sleep already. bintan updates, tomorrow perhaps, after the soccer match, after the get-together, after the mahjong sessions? we'll see.

my well deserved break.
went with zx and co. to watch spiderman today. i thought it was a fantastic show, much better than expected. i didnt really expect a marvel capcom story to be so EMO i nearly break into tears. when spidey went to spite mj in the lounge with his rather funny dance moves. when spidey kissed his classmate (so ridiculous!). but the flow of the movie was rather congested, because they squeezed 3 villians into a single episode, so everything was touch-and-go. but still, great effort, the twist in peter parker himself nearly turning into a demon was well-acted. woohoo. NICE, but den again i still have friends disagree-ing and i dont see many fantastic critics aniwhere.

never felt better
BINTAN forthcoming, and lotsa plans before that. it feels totally cool to have your whole weekend blocked out, from this morning til monday morning when the sun rises and my head-to-toes get all geared for the trip. FUN. i would have K-ed today, but i simply can't because i need proper sleep, at least for today (its near 2am aniways).

cant wait for BINTAN, cant wait to hear from YOU, and see YOU. its the weirdest kind of feeling, somehow the date after bintan seems to be more alluring than BINTAN itself. and you said you will call on tuesday; im waiting, always. even typing this entry gives me andrenaline rush, butterflies in my stomach, and irregulatory heartbeats- save me!

yesterday was a bad gloomy day, it had to rain when i was at Borders, so i had to read so i entertained myself with some title 'Always Talk to Strangers'. I think i know my tricks well enough, even before this book, but it takes more than skills. Courage. Confidence too.

so i came out with this formulae (OWIGINAL me) - SOCCER, i love.

S - Subtle : for skills, for being delicates with your Q&As
O - Originality : don't use lines from the books, i laugh at them
C - Confidence : most important - how you carry yourself
C - Courage : for any random date to occur
E - EYE CONTACT : basic courtesy. '心灵之窗'
R - Relenting : know when to stop. she's not the only girl.

pardon me. im just too bored. if all these are so easily taught by words, there wouldn't be so many bachelors and bachelorettes around. the book even recommended BOOKS and PETS; im so sure it's going to work, SO YOU CAN TRY.

P.S. THIS IS WHAT I GATHERED FROM MY READING, AND ONLY FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES. Thou shall be responsible for the consequences that follow, in case you go berserk (走火入魔).

THE PAST
had so much trouble just trying to fall asleep yesterday, and indulge in my dreams, for it is in my dreams, i find my 'reality'. Dreams have never been less real, throwing me out of bed, screaming, tearing, soaked in (cold) sweat, what's wrong?

the whole night yesterday, i was reading blogs. old blogs, mine and hers, which dates from '03. it was like brushing cobwebs and dust off the archives. memories, i wish i could erase at the click of 'delete'. mutual friends that tried to bind us together, through our grey gloomy patches, people who soured our relationship with rumours and gossips, and moments we wish to return, or keep forever, but forever was never long enough. Love, it encompasses. HATE too.

Every time, rounds and rounds of soul-searching made me ponder who was wrong, what went wrong. it didn't matter, really. it just makes me feel better. maybe im a sore loser (i hate to lose), im green-eyed she's the prom queen - no im not proud. it belittles me. like i was never good enough for her. maybe YES. but well, i too wish i could get into the singapore soccer team, or be the singapore idol, win the dance floor or just win some wadafuk grad. these are the unachievables, the impossibles. Think of me preposterous, ridiculous - i don't gif a fuk.

Forgive me when my inferior complex picks up. For after all these rants, ill be alright, honestly. Tonnes of self-improvement i reckon on, to understand 'the game (of love)', to be a (better) man. but everyday, i lose myself a lil' more.

im fine now. consolation nevertheless helpful.
